Hierarchical folders are a breakthrough technology that allow you to categorise and manage your contacts in a way that reflects the real world. Combined with the ability to assign a contact to multiple folders (or categories), this feature allows even the biggest databases to be managed smoothly and quickly.

What makes hierarchical folders so powerful is that they automatically include all the contacts in their sub-folders. So with the folders above, you can put a contact into Business>DreamSpring>Vendors, and it will appear in that folder as well as Business and Business>DreamSpring. So you can organise your contacts into nice, small, specific categories, while still being able to view all contacts in a more general category.
You can even move folders around, moving whole chunks of contacts into and out of parent folders, reflecting changes in your relationships.
And, just as in the real world, contacts can belong to multiple, unrelated categories.
There is no more powerful way to organise your relationships.
