Adding attendees


DreamLife gives you unsurpassed ability to add and edit attendees information while you are editing or adding an activity. This tutorial demonstrates DreamLife's ability to add a location from contacts, and select contacts as attendees for the activity.

  1. First, create an activity and set all the appropriate details. Set the alarm details and notes for the activity.

  2. Next, add location details.

    There are couple of ways you can do this. The first is to add a location that is not linked to a contact. To do this, select Location to enter the location. Press Save when finished.

    The other option is to add a location taken from your contacts list. You can choose Options > Choose location and select the specific type of address that you want to choose from.

  3. This will present you with a list of all the contacts you have with addresses attached to them. Filter the list using either the fast filter with keymatch and or sort, or perform a global find to locate the desired contact. Once you have found the correct contact, press to add that contact's address.

  4. This contact's address type will now appear as the location for the activity.

    The address will appear with numbers and alphabets at the end.  This is the location's unique identification label and only appears on the editor.  You can choose to modify this address at this point if you wish. To change location, repeat steps 2 and 3, then press Save when finished.  You can also manually edit the address added from the contact list.  However, this will make it a non-active link.

  5. Once you have added location, the next step is to add attendees to the activity.

    Similar to location, there are 2 ways that you can add attendees. You can either add attendees by manually typing their names in or by selecting contacts from the database. The first option cannot link the names to the contacts database.

    To add attendees from your contacts database, select Attendees or go to Options > Add contact. A dialogue will pop up to ask you which of the contact's address you prefer.  Once selected, this will open the Contact view, where you can use the fast filter or global find to find the appropriate contact/s.  You can choose Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark or press on desired contacts to select multiple contacts from the contacts list. Once all attendees have been added and selected, press Done and this will take you back to the activity editor.

  6. Once you have finished editing the activity, press Save to save the activity.

  7. The location and attendee's details will now appear in the activity details.

    Location and attendees added from the database will be coloured and underlined, indicating that they are active links. You can tap or select on the location link or any of the attendees link to view, modify or create contact details.
